LAMBTON SHORES PREDATORS FIGHT HARD TO WIN FOUR STRAIGHT
The Lambton Shores Predators determination to push for a playoff spot and not quit, was very obvious in tonight's game against the LaSalle Vipers
Corey Pawley earned the opening goal for the Predators at 13:50 of the first period. Kyle Brothers on a powerplay goal at 10:29 of the second period would put the Predators up 2-1. Snapping in two quick goals from Preds Cody Trowell at 5:21 and Kody Ryan at 4:56 followed by his second powerplay of the game Kyle Brothers at 16:24 would end the second period 5-1 Predators.

The win leaves the Predators just two points behind the Chatham Maroons for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. "It was a thrilling game tonight and our boys got it done," Roop Chanderdat, Lambton Shores President and General Manager said. "The team knew our playoff life was at stake and were determined to come out with a victory. Lots of guys contributed offensively and Corey Pawley was great tonight." The Predators return to the ice in front of the home crowd as they welcome the Lasalle Vipers to the Shores Recreation Centre. The puck drops at 7:30. PREDS WIN BIG OVER NATIONALSFOREST -- The distant dream of making the playoffs has all of the sudden become a distinct reality for the Lambton Shores Predators after a convincing 7-3 win over the London Nationals at the Shores Recreation Centre on Sunday night. The Nationals who entered the game a full 20-points ahead of the Predators in the standing took an early lead only 3:44 into the game with a goal by Ian MacDonald. The Predators answered back just over two minutes later with Adam Arseneault scoring his first goal of the game and 15th of the season to tie up the score at 1-1. London and Lambton Shores exchanged goals before the Predators blew the game wide open in the second period with four unanswered goals en route to a convincing 7-3 win in front of their home crowd. The Predators now trail the Chatham Maroons by only four points heading into Friday's contest on the road in St. Mary's. They return home to face Lasalle on Saturday night at 7:30. |
